With today’s Standard American Diet (SAD) and toxic chemical world we live in it’s no wonder why many across the nation are suffering from some form of adverse skin problem. If you’re dealing with rashes or itching or Psoriatic plaques or Eczematic symptoms, as always focus on the digestive system first.
We tend to want to treat our symptoms (the standard Medical Model) but instead we must get to the root! The outbreaks of red patchy scaly dry itchy skin are nothing more than red flags. The body is trying to tell you something is wrong.
For example: while driving in your car you notice the “check engine” light comes on.. Do you open the dash board and unplug the light to fix the problem? NO!! You check your engine.
The body is the same way. Think of these adverse skin problems or reactions as a warning light. A check light for your digestive system.
Here is the breakdown:
Eczema, Psoriasis, Rosacea, Dermatitis or any other skin adverse issue is an immune disease that has manifested itself on the skin. The immune disorder usually stems from the digestive system.
Your intestines are your secondary immune system. When your intestine system is down it absorbs less nutrients and a domino effect occurs. You’ll get sick a lot, you won’t be able to digest nutrients, diarrhea or constipation occurs, allergic reactions…and if gone too long chronic issues will then arise, like auto immune diseases such as Crohn’s Diseases, Sjoren’s , food allergies, Rheumatoid Arthritis etc.
You’re not absorbing or digesting correctly because you have either an over amount of yeast in your gut, too much alcohol consumption, too much stress, lack of sleep, over amount of antibiotics, and/or deficiency in Essential Fatty Acids. This is called Dysbiosis.
Dysbiosis causes holes in your lumen (stomach wall). Food then starts to leak through these holes and inevitably gets into your blood stream (the capillaries below the lumen). Your body then starts to create antibodies to fight off the intruder (food particles in blood stream). This then usually creates a food allergy reaction which can manifest itself in several ways… such as skin adverse problems.
Here is the buildup:
First, heal your gut!
Certain foods and beverages wreak havoc on the digestive system and MUST be avoided to improve the function of the digestive system, thus eliminating any adverse skin condition.
*Take probiotics. Taking several strains of probiotics if not at least Lactobacillus, Acidophilus and BififoBacteria which are more effective and accepted by human body, will heal the lining of your stomach and esophagus. Probiotics also help with absorption, elimination, and yeast control. This keeps bacteria levels normal and will rid you of Dysbiosis.
*Take EFAs (Essential Fatty Acids). EFAs (essential fatty acids) are crucial to the body…they have over thousands of functions in the body all occurring at one time. * Get on Digestive Enzymes- Digestive Enzymes are going to help break down the food you digest… and allow for nutrients to get absorbed.
*Keep a food journal to pin point outbreaks. Keeping a food journal is extremely beneficial. A food journal basically serves as an “allergy test” but WAAAAY less expensive than one you would get in a doctor’s’ office. Simply write down EVERYTHING you eat. When you have an outbreak such as itchy dry flaky skin, inflammation, pain, even digestive discomfort like gas, bloating, diarrhea and or constipation…this is a clue to go back into your journal and search out your meals from 4-24 hours prior. Target what you ate and ELIMINATE it!! Continue to keep record to slowly pin point the culprits.
